Colt 45's - EE TEE SEE is an album of Nineez demos from Neil and Noel's days in Appletree Dell, Dog Kennel Lane, Chorleywood in 1978. With Tim often in attendance they recorded early sketches of Famous People, Evelyn, Mind Over Matter and even Disembodied Voices! All very lo-fi and guaranteed to confound the grannies next door, as they did in their little country cottage thirty-five years ago.

18-05-12-Some sad news, Peter Jones (who was the drummer that replaced Paul Hester when he departed the band on the USA tour) passed away this afternoon. He has been ill for awhile now but sadly he lost the fight at 4.00.

A good mate, a great drummer that played with numerous Melbourne bands and artists. RIP Peter Jones.

28-07-11-Sean's illness means the final 2 USA shows (Roxy &Outside Lands) have (sadly) been scrapped as well. Sorry folks, I know this is frustrating. Ticket refunds underway now. Press statement below

"Pajama Club ( Neil and Sharon Finn) are very sorry to announce they are unable to play upcoming gigs at the Roxy on the 13th of July and Outside Lands festival on the 14th of August . This is to enable keyboard player Sean Donnelly to return to NZ to have treatment for a medical condition which has previously forced cancellation of one show in the U.K. It is very disappointing to let down those who have brought tickets but our prime consideration must be Sean's good health. We will seek to reschedule shows in these cities in the near future."

20-07-11-and just in from Neil: "our sincere apologies to those who bought tickets for cancelled shows on west coast of the U.S. In addition to some scheduling conflicts we have pressing reasons to get back to NZ a little sooner and wish to reassure you that we will be back for a more extensive run of dates once the Pajama Club record has come out. Due to a long and fatiguing twelve months of recording and touring, on both

15-11-08-Over Christmas 2008 and New Year 2009, Neil Finn has invited the core band from his 2001 Seven Worlds Collide project, plus some other special guests, to create a new album at Roundhead studios in Auckland, New Zealand. Guests confirmed so far are Radiohead�s Phil Selway and Ed O�Brien, legendary guitarist Johnny Marr, founder member of The Smiths and current member of US alternate rock innovators Modest Mouse, Soul Coughing�s Sebastian Steinberg, multi-instrumentalist Lisa Germano, Wilco members Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone, Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, along with NZ musicians Liam Finn, Don McGlashan and Bic Runga. All proceeds from this very special recording will go to support the continuing great work of Oxfam International.
And look out � if you think this is just going to happen behind closed doors, you�re mistaken � Neil plans to share this unique event with music fans inNew Zealand by presenting a short series of intimate and informal live performances at a nearby club venue.

10-03-08-Neil Finn has been added to the Womad Festival bill for this Sunday March 16th. Headliner Cesaria Evora sadly had a stroke a few days ago and is in a Sydney hospital recovering. In the spirit of Womad Neil agreed to play. He will be on the TSB Bowl Stage (New Plymouth-NZ) Sunday night.

7-7-07-Happy to announce that the Enz club is expecting copies of the *NEW* Split Enz book "Letters to my Frenz' (A Split Enz Book) this week.
There will be a one off pressing (1000 copies). 80% have already been spoken for on Pre-Sale via the club. The book has around 150 pages, hardcover, hand stitched binding. Numerous B&W photos as well as a colour photo area.
It containss interviews with: Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Malcolm Green, Robert Gillies, Mike Chunn, Emelyn Crowther, Phil Judd, Eddie Rayner, Noel Crombie and Paul Hester. It is also a home for Bassist Nigel Griggs inside look at Split Enz, a wonderful Interview full of surprises. Add to that sections on the Enz Recordings, Collector Enz, Origins of the Frenz, several mini posters and a listing of the numerous Split Enz shows, it makes it a must have for Enz fans everywhere. Hi Everyone,
I am back in NZ now still reeling from the terrible news of our brother Paul. There is no way to explain or express the confusion and distress that I am feeling.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support and comfort.
Your kind thoughts on the forums have been very moving and your memories of Paul confirmed what a huge personality he was, completely individual, funny as hell, compassionate too.
He was the best drummer I have ever played with and he was my best friend.
At the time we made a quick decision in the midst of the chaos to postpone some dates and shorten the tour. This was because we didn't think we could cope with such a hectic schedule in light of our emotional state.
Since then we have decided to postpone all dates. In the wake of the funeral and memorial service in Melbourne I have reached a point of complete mental exhaustion. As you know it is not in my nature to blow
out or postpone shows. I was advised by a doctor in Melbourne to go home and rest . It feels right to be home with my family at this time.
I am pleased that the rescheduled tour will happen in June.We were hoping that some of the smaller shows could be rescued too but it has proved too difficult for the promoters.
So I would like to apologise to those of you who will now not have the chance to see the Finn brothers in concert. I sincerely hope that there will be an opportunity soon to be amongst you to sing and carouse together.
In the meantime thanks again for your support at this very difficult time.

1-10-03-Neil & Tim took some time off from mixing in the U.K. to party on at actor Sam Neill's house.The Finns performed a few songs.Irish born, Melbourne based Andy White sooned joined Tim for a version of ALT's 'Penelope Tree'.Andy White currently in the U.K. promoting his 'Tell me Why' EP. The EP is out in Australia December 1st.
28-9-03-Melbourne Fans, if you are near the Victoria Arts Centre, have a look at the latest costume display. A complete set of early Enz costumes is on show, as well as a 'costume computer interface' where you can look at many of the other Enz costumes.Yes including Neil Finn's infamous Jetson style stage shorts! 16-9-03-Australian Fans remember the ABC TV Doco. 'Love is in the Air' commences October 12th(Sunday Nights).Crowded House will feature in Episode #4, however ,expect both Neil & Tim to be appearing briefly in several other episodes (interviews etc).It will be available on DVD towards the end of the year.

Its been a slow and deliberate build up towards this Finn brothers record but we are about to go code red with Tony Visconti in upstate N.Y. We are taking tall and rakish Bones Hillman( ex Swingers and Midnight Oil ) to play bass & chuckling Ross Burge -ex Muttonbirds to play drums. There is an aching spirit in the house and we have to respond.
We bought a building yesterday in Auckland which will become a place of music for many to enjoy . Its an old masonic lodge ( the Fountain of Friendship says the plaque )no skeletons in the basement just an adult bookshop . Its a beautiful building....good times ahead."
